I love how Tais Jaspar is looking at Shanghai's top oligarch Victor Sassoon. She was, however, more than just a socialite. A prolific artist and a charming beauty, she married into Shanghai's high society only to relentelessly extract funding for charitable projects in favor of poor Russian women and children.
