Marcel Confectionery ups the ante (1936)

I once wrote about the 6-foot cake made for Bastille Day in 1935 by Jean Lubeck, of Marcel Confectionery. He made an even more exquisite cake the next year:

"This work of art, made entirely of sugar, is exhibited in the window of the Marcel Confectionery, Avenue Joffre." Image: Le journal de Shanghai, 14 July 1936.
